Through the firm’s annual “Bus Tour”, Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen has made a concerted effort to visit some of the projects and sites worked on throughout our 26 years in business. This year's tour was extra special as we named the event in honor of our colleague, Eric "Mitty" Mittereder, who was deeply passionate about our work in affordable housing and community development. Eric loved the annual bus tour for its focus on our mission and the camaraderie it fostered within our team.

This year’s tour took us to the historic Bronzeville neighborhood, a community rich in culture and history. Bronzeville has been a focal point for affordable housing developments aimed at fostering economic growth and preserving the neighborhood’s unique character. We made several stops throughout the day, including Stateway Gardens, Legends Phases at Savoy Square, the Ellis Arts and Recreation Center, and 4400 Grove.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us, including James Miller, Peter Levavi, Greg Olson, Jackie Hunt, Priscilla Lanzarin and the team at Brinshore-Michaels, Kemena Brooks, Tiffany Johnson and the team at TCB, and Rhonda McFarland, Anthony Rogers, and the team at QCDC. Your insights and commitment continue to inspire us as we work together to build stronger communities.
