My Role

I am responsible for the design and oversight of Applegate’s talent development strategy in support of the firm’s strategic business goals and operational objectives. In this capacity, I also serve on the core leadership team as a functional expert and thought partner in the areas of organizational development, strategic hiring, L&D programming, and compensation and succession planning. Specific areas of responsibility include executive and leadership coaching, performance management, oversight of Mentorship program, design of individualized professional development plans, and overall implementation of the firm’s talent development strategy.

My Background

Prior to joining the firm, I was Knowledge Management counsel on Kirkland & Ellis’s strategic, market, and knowledge team for the U.S. Debt Finance Practice, providing analysis and thought leadership on wide-ranging legal and financing matters involving market developments, transaction structures, loan market dynamics, attorney education, and firm-wide knowledge resources.

My Passion in Life

My alter ego is as an author of children’s picture books and middle grade novels. In addition, I am an avid globe trotter, having lived and worked in various countries, including France, Germany, Japan, Mexico (my original home country), and the U.S (my current home country).
